Lara Klawikowski is a fashion designer based in Cape Town, South Africa. She graduated from Cape Town College of Fashion Design in 2008. During her 3rd year, she won the Vodacom Durban July Young Designer Award, was one of the top 5 graduates at the Cape Town Fashion Council Graduate Shows and the runner-up in the Foschini Annual Design Awards. During her 4th year at CTCFD, she also completed an introductory course in shoe making and shoe design, showcased a capsule collection at Arise Cape Town Fashion Week and won the SACTWU Condom Dress Design Competition. In 2012, she took a sabbatical and worked as a designer at a local footwear supplier but soon returned to her studio to pursue her brand. Lara Klawikowski showcased her first wearable collection of womenswear at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town in 2013. She has since been a semi-finalist in the SAFW Renault New Talent Search 2013 and showcased her collections at Design Indaba and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Cape Town annually.
